Welcome to Tellie Drops

Tellie Drops are digital keys that can be used to unlock exclusive content, products, and more. Drops are a powerful tool for generating revenue and building deeper relationships with your followers. 

Create a Drop in minutes using original artwork, music, or videos. You can have one Item or hundreds in each Drop, and sell them directly from your Tellie Site. 

Drops and Items are used as keys to unlock pages on your Tellie Site, or can be used anywhere you can connect a blockchain wallet.

Your lockable Tellie pages can include things like exclusive content or early or limited access to things like merch and tickets. When someone purchases an Item from your Drop, they are purchasing access to any Tellie Pages they can unlock with it.

People purchase your Items using MATIC, which is the native cryptocurrency of the Polygon network. Coming soon, we will offer credit card checkout and people will be able to make purchases in USD.

Blockchain Technology

Drops are created on the blockchain and in a wallet owned by you. Once you create them with us, you can sell and use them on Tellie, or anywhere you can connect a blockchain wallet.

Here's more on how it all works:

Each Drop is a smart contract that Tellie creates in a blockchain wallet designated by you. A smart contract is a bit of software that is recorded on the blockchain.

Think of your Drop like a product line or a collection or even a folder. Once you create your Drop, you can add as many Items to your Drop as you like (like adding files to a folder). Each Item is minted as a non-fungible token (NFT) in your Drop smart contract. You can create as many copies of each Item as you wish—you can make a single copy, or thousands.

We use the eco-friendly Polygon blockchain to create Drops and any Items within a Drop. Your Items are ERC-1155 tokens.

So going with our product line analogy:

Let's say you create a Drop called, "Discography."

From there, you can create an Item for each of your music albums. And you can create as many copies of each album as you wish. You can even make different versions of the same album, where one version has just a few copies, is higher priced and comes with more access and value, and the other version has thousands of copies, has a lower prices, and less value attached to it. You can even offer individual tracks as an Item within your Discography.

 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Creating a Drop

➕ Create a Drop

1. Open the menu on your Tellie Site, click the ⚙️ Settings Gear, and then click 💎 Manage Collections & NFTs

1. Click Collections in the Dashboard menu

2. Click Create Drop

1. Click on Connect Wallet
   1. This will be the wallet that owns the Drop.
   2. You will need access to this wallet to mint NFTs in the future and manage the Drop.
   3. Don’t have a Wallet? Learn more about them and get one for free here.

1. Fill out your Drop Details
   1. Drop Name
      1. The name of your collection
   2. Drop Symbol
      1. This acts as the smart contract token name on the Polygon blockchain.
      2. If your drop is called "Flowers", you might use something like "FLOWERS" or "FLWRS" for the symbol.

1. Confirm you’re ready to create your Drop
   1. ⚠️ Values cannot be changed once you start the Drop creation process
      1. 🔤 Make sure that there are no spelling errors
   2. Only the wallet you’ve connected will be able to manage the drop in the future
   3. ✅ If everything looks good, check the box that says “These values are correct.”

1. Click Create your Drop on Polygon
   1. Before your drop is created, you’ll be asked to confirm you own your wallet by ✍️signing a signature
      1. If you connected a mobile wallet, open your mobile wallet app and look for a message to sign
      2. Click or tap Sign to continue

1. ⏱️ Wait 1-3 Minutes

   1. It can take a few minutes for the drop to be deployed on Polygon

2. 🙌 Your Drop has been Created

   1. You can see your drop show up on tools like Polygonscan within a few minutes

💎 Mint an NFT

Open a Drop you’ve created and click Create.

Connect your Wallet

• If you’re creating an item in the same session, your wallet should already be connected.
• If the app prompts you to Connect your Wallet, connect the same wallet you used to create your Drops. 

Upload the Media for your Item

Select the Item Type

Supported file types

• 🖼️ Images (JPG / PNG / GIF)
• 🎵 Audio (MP3, WAV)
• 📹 Video (MP4)

Uploads must be under 50mb

🖼️ Images require an Image File

🎵 Audio requires both an Audio File and a Cover Image
A cover image is shown when the audio is not actively playing

📹 Video requires both a Video File and a Cover Image
Cover image is shown when the video is not actively playing

Give your Item a Title & Description

Title

• This is the name of your Item.
• Titles are written to the blockchain and cannot be changed later

Description

• This is an optional description for your item.
• Descriptions are written to the blockchain and cannot be changed later

Set your Supply & Royalties

Supply

• Supply is the number of copies of that items that are available
• It can be any number of 1 or more
• 🔢 How many copies of an Item can I create?

Royalties

• Royalties are the % of the resale price for you item that you will receive on a 3rd party marketplace
• 💵 Can I set a Royalty Rate on my NFTs?

Set if your Item contains Explicit or Sensitive content

If your Item contains NSFW content, this checkbox will help us protect users with safe search while browsing Tellie.

Confirm you’re ready to create your Item

1. • ⚠️ Details like title, description and media cannot be changed once you start the Item creation process. 🔤 Make sure that there are no spelling errors
   • ⚖️ Check the box to confirm you have the rights to publish the artwork and content
   • ✅ If everything looks good, check the box that says “These values are correct.”

Click Create your Item on Polygon

Before your item is created, you’ll be asked to confirm you own your wallet by ✍️ signing a message in your wallet.

• If you connected a mobile wallet, open your mobile wallet app and look for a message to sign
• Click or tap Sign to continue

⏱️ Wait 1-3 Minutes

It can take a few minutes for the item to be minted on Polygon.

🙌 Your Item has been Minted

You can see your item show up on on Tellie and also tools like Polygonscan within a few minutes.
